The Lotus Oasis Tapestry is a mini pattern providing multiple variations of colourwork charts featuring the same motif. Inspired by 19th century art nouveau, the lotus flower blooms from the liquid of life in it’s summer rebirth. This pattern features guides and instructions to be able to apply the motifs to stockinette stitch fabric through double knit, duplicate stitch, or intarsia techniques. An optional crochet border can be worked along the edges for a polished tapestry finish. The motifs can be directly applied to stockinette fabric using duplicate stitch, or to stockinette fabric that is being worked using double knitting or intarsia. All methods can be used to create a tapestry, or apply the motifs to stockinette fabric or garments. Whether you’re looking to create a piece of art to bring extra beauty to your space, or to add some character to a plain or old garment, this tapestry mini pattern and guide is perfect to add a bloom of colour and personality to your creations. 

The sample is made using duplicate stitch and measures 35 x 36 cm [13¾ x 14¼ inches].

Difficulty: 1.5/5 - Suitable for knitters of all skill levels. A great option to learn how to duplicate stitch, double knit, or work intarsia. Crochet is not necessary for this pattern.
